Perfectly Positioned in the Val d'Orcia

With its unique location in the unmistakable Val d'Orcia, this villa is less than 1 kilometer from  the Renaissance, hilltop town of Pienza. The city was designed in the 1400s at the request of Pope Pius II.  Over a hundred years ago several streets were renamed to reflect peace rather than war. The city is so picturesque that Romeo and Juliet and The English Patient  were filmed here.  You can stroll down  the Via della Fortuna (fortune), Via dell'Amore (love),  or Via del Bacio (kiss). This is a great village with specialty food stores offering foods and wines of the region including the most famous sheeps cheese, pecorino, which is famous in Pienza and throughout Tuscany. Also nearby, is Montepulciano known for Italy's first DOCG wines and a mecca for fabulous food and wine.

This stylish farmhouse with its procession of tall cypress trees surrounded by the expansive beauty and natural abundance of the Val d'Orcia has been featured on many postcards. This is the chic part of southern Tuscany much loved by artists, given the graphic quality of the landscape and the unspoiled charm of the area hill towns.

The property sits in a secluded position with rolling hills adorned with olive trees and grapevines that border the property. The renovated farmhouse is purely Tuscan in style with an authentic stone exterior, swimming pool, panoramic veranda, outdoor barbecue.  This Tuscan farmhouse may be your dream of a Tuscan vacation, a private estate in the heart of the Val d'Orcia with a breathtaking views.  Enjoy long, dreamy days lounging by the pool, eating and drinking well. We recommend a mixture of days, some staying put and some out exploring nearby hilltowns and wineries of Florence and Siena. You will be rewarded either way!
