Our Style of Travel

Are you the type that cringes at the thought of being herded around in a tour group? No worries! With our style of travel you have all the freedom you desire to explore on your own. We think of our guests as travelers who prefer to explore the area rather than a tourist who simply wants to see a famous landmark, snap a selfie, and move on to the next iconic spot.  Our trips don’t come off the shelf, there’s no set recipe - they're custom designed.

Some of the advantages of a Villas-and-Vines tour:
  • Stay in one region for 7 days - it's more relaxing and no need to keep packing and unpacking
  • Pre and post trips are a minimum of 4 days
  • Large non-smoking ensuite rooms with views
  • Accommodations with private pools where you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to claim a chaise by the pool
  • The majority of our guests eat all they choose to eat and still don't gain weight.
  • Premium locations within walking distance in large cities
  • We handle the logistics - just tell us what you want to do and we'll make the arrangements
  • Visit lesser known villages away from the daytrippers from the cruise ships
  • The freedom and flexibility to have a more intimate, authentic, self-paced experience you want
  • You won't feel like you need a vacation from your vacation upon your return home
  • In the event of inclement weather, we do our best to adapt our schedule. We save our visits to museums on the days there might be rain.
  • Our suppliers (villa owners and staff, hotel staff, wineries, restaurants, drivers, etc.) work hard and in appreciation for their efforts, we compensate them generously for their efforts including gratuities.
  • You won't be nickle and dimed and no high-pressure sales tactics at every turn.

We keep the driving to a minimum in order to experience more without being couped up on a bus or train. With the competitors' tours, you are in a different region every 2 or 3 days. Which means you lose a day of sight-seeing because you are packing up and riding several hours before you reach the next destination only to settle in to another hotel. Most people have never considered how far the sights are from point to point.  These large bus tours and cruise ships only offer a mere glimpse of a city. How many times have you wished you had longer to visit a town?
